Good Morning.....

Minor woke up yesterday morning with a couple of questions. These are his first words of the day.....he smiles at me and walks into the bathroom to take his morning pee as I am getting ready.....he pulls down his pants and looks up and asks "mom, is the Tooth Fairy real?" .....me....."u will find out when you start to loose teeth."....Minor looks down as he is now peeing into the toilet, and then looks up at me again..."is the Easter Bunny real?".....me..."yes," because I don't want to tell him the truth just yet and he is only four....Minor looks down once again and pulls up his pants, flushes the toilet.......and as he is walking out of the bathroom he turns around and asks...."is there a Queen of England?".....me......dumbfounded.....say "yes"......and he replies"good, i was just checking!" and he walked in his room to get dressed.

"oooh I am so in love!!"

Minor says to me last night "oh mom, I am so in love with this Old Gal, named Valecia!!" It doesn't get any sweeter!!!!

Table Talk

The other evening over dinner, (we were out at one of our favorite place's Thai Basil), Minor after eating his shrimp fried rice was getting restless to get going, so he crawled in my lap put his arms around my neck and said "Mama I am so happy!", he then nestled back in for a second, but quickly looked up again and said "and I promise I won't smoke!"

Here we go again...

it has been requested of me by several people to document and post the hilarious and random things Minor does on a daily basis, so here it goes. weclcome to the world that I live in with my four and a half year old as we tackle everyday life together. enjoy.

Uncle D's Birthday

Shenan turned 31 during the month of December, which means I will be turning 30 next. uggh But of course a picture with Minor by the tree was necessary. I think he came over to catch up on The Hills. Notice TV in background.

Minor's first buzz cut

So, after dinner a couple of days ago as I was preparing Minor's bath and I realized he was starting to look a little homely. I thought about earlier that day and how I commented on one of my student's appearance thinking "It looks like Noah was dropped off at school today by a garbage truck." And then looking at Minor and his hair and thinking a similar thought again. So, in effort to save time and schedule an appointment with Minor's stylist (aka: gammy) I got out the clippers and decided to do it myself. Minor doesn't like getting his hair cut, because he doesn't want his hair to hurt or feel sad. But, I talked around his concerns and began cutting.






We have referred to his hair as "hockey" for quite some time now, so we JUST had to shave off half first for Minor's Mullet for a Minute!

























Finally, we got him situated again and finished the job. Minor was over having his picture taken so this was the best I got. And yes if you are wondering there is a split in his forehead (also known as the $75 dollar superglue incident, and bite marks on his chest from his good friend Thomas at school. poor guy!

Happy Thanksgiving

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

We are keeping it simple this year and aren't even going to turn on the oven. Mainly because our kitchen has a major leak in the sink and I don't want to create more work for myself by having to wash Thanksgiving dishes in the tub.
So, we dined at McCormick's Fish House in downtown Denver. The food was amazing, Minor had traditional turkey dinner, I had salmon, and Josh had steak and shrimp. So, it was a little nontraditional, but fun just the same.
